The usual presentation and discussion of the vintage took place during the last session, on April 9, 2010. The aim of this project is to understand the effect of different water regimes on the viticultural and oenological behavior of the Touriga Nacional variety. 2 - Seasonal changes in the base water potential, on the reference block at Quinta dos Aciprestes (TN x 196-17).

4 "Coupling disturbance of the vine moth in the GDR" and on the dissemination of information available at technical colloquiums held both in Portugal and abroad (3rd CERVIM, Sicily). Notable was ADVID's close collaboration with DRAPN in researching this locust and all other vectors that could be present in the GDR, as well as systematizing the information collected on flight curves, to contribute to the definition of protection strategies. ADVID has taken a leading role in monitoring developments in emerging pests, particularly of the.

In 2010, ADVID collaborated with DRAPN in the survey of this leafhopper and any other vectors that may be present in the GDR, as well as in the systematization of the information collected on flight curves, to contribute to the definition of protection strategies. Using a block in the Baixo Corgo to assess/study the effectiveness of the strategy to control downy mildew on vineyards in 2010, we followed developments in the disease. Ecological infrastructure in the biological conservation protection against vine pests, in the GDR (Delimited Douro Region) the GDR (Delimited Douro Region).

During the program, information was collected about the flowering periods of the most important varieties. Arthropods were collected on the vine and in the EI using three sampling methods: D-VAC suction, yellow chromotropic traps, and Pitfall-type traps. Soil biological activity is essential for nutrition, health and plant tolerance to adverse growing conditions.

Technical support for integrated vine production

The information collected supports ADVID's trial activities and, after being processed, is sent weekly to members throughout the growing cycle to support decision making regarding plant health treatments and maturity assessment. In 2010, a new model for presenting climate data was introduced and the circulation rate of weekly data in the growth cycle was increased, especially extreme events. In addition to these measures, applications were also submitted for SPS (single payment schemes), MZDs (continuation of agriculture in less-favoured areas), ITI-DV (integrated territorial intervention in the Douro wine region), support for quality schemes and other measures of minor importance in our field of action.

ADVID also prepared and distributed supporting information on legislation, provided support for administrative issues raised by IFAP and monitored certification of the measures, through support for the preparation of fie documents, technical support and preparation of technical documents. The following figures show a statistical overview of the prepared files and the potential for members in 2010 (values estimated on the basis of applications, including areas). 5 – Total and percentage distribution of applications and their dossiers and total support received (the integrated total on the left and details per agri.

Financial Support for the Development of the Action Plan

In the context of the Territorial Pact for Employment and Employability in the Douro, which ADVID signed as founding partner on December 10, 2009, an application was submitted in August 2010 to PCI - Institutional Empowerment Network for support for the project "Institutional Empowerment Network for the Promotion of Employability - Douro", endorsed by all the participants in the Douro Employment and Employment Pact. This project is intended to promote employability in the Douro region through a better adaptation between the qualifications and skills offered by the education and training system and the needs and opportunities of the labor market, through vocational guidance for young people and through increased awareness of the work. population. Regarding PRODER (FEADER), we would like to note the absence of guidelines to support entities recognized as CESs, such as: positive discrimination for flagship projects submitted by CESs.

The difficulty is also in Action 2.3.1., Preservation and Improvement of Genetic Resources, of a type more suitable for the Flagship Project "Preservation of Biodiversity of Grape Varieties", specifically the development of partnerships for the development of the project. If they apply alone, the support is 100%, if there are partnerships with private entities (which cannot be companies), the support is 80%. The entire financial process involves the public promoter and is difficult to operationalize due to all the accounting/financial/administrative constraints to which the Public Administration is subject.

Institutional Relations

The experimental center in Herdade de Pegões, in the municipality of Palmela, is dedicated to the preservation of all varieties of Portuguese vines and the development of experimental projects for further use. The expenditure to be provided by PORVID is essentially the realization of its own statutory objectives of maintaining the diversity of the vines in the Center and the reimbursement to DRALVT of the costs of services and products used on the vines in the 2010 program. As a result of subsequent more accurate assessments of the status of the vines and the discovery of new interactions with the preservation of the Saloia sheep breed, which will be carried out on the Herdade de Pegões by another association (ACRO, the Association of Cattle Breeders of the West) ), the final version of the contract was signed on November 12, which provides for the transfer of 135 ha of vineyard land and a worker and the maintenance of most of the remaining conditions.

The agreement was approved by MADRP on 6 December 2010 at a special ceremony in the presence of members and various individuals from the sector. During 2010, no meeting was held in EMD's Advisory Board. But we monitored the work of the EMD, we presented cases of dissonance in the landscape and we contributed to the preservation of this landscape, especially through bulletins, circulars, workshops, symposia and the identification of two strategic lines that were defined in the action plan of the GDR cluster : Biodiversity and the rationalization of Hillside Vineyards.

We also requested a meeting with the Chairman of the Douro mission structure, which was held in November, to tell this body about all the work that the ADVID has done on its own and as a management entity of the GDR wine cluster. As a member of the CNOIV, in addition to sitting on the General Council, ADVID is part of the Viticulture Group and aims to join more Expert Groups in 2011. ADVID, represented by Councilor António Graça, was invited to join CITAB (Agri-Environment and Biology Research and Technology Center) of the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro.

ADVID's participation in CITAB's Stakeholder Consultative Committee provides an opportunity to leverage that Center's capabilities with a view to meeting the real needs of the business community in the region.
