ABSTRACT
The project aims to develop an electrical converter static to control power of industrial processes that use heating through electrical resistances and its main characteristic to the interface between control and power through the conversion of electrical current in voltage effective on the load. This board is equipped basically of an integrated circuit, called TCA785, which is responsible for the variation in the angle of the triggering thyristor, providing variation of tension on the load. A prototype was created for testing operation of the converter, consisting of a reservoir, two resistances of 1000W, a centrifugal pump for mixing the product, a factor of tempcrature of the type PT-100 and an electronic temperature controller. The methodological procedures consisted of bibliographic researches, internet and contacts with teachers of the discipline of power electronics.It is considered that the objective was reached by the prototypes functioning at a relatively low cost and that the converter developed can be used in various applications such as: Distillation Columns, Glycol Towers, Residential Boiler, among others.
