ABSTRACT
This study approaches the hygiene conditions and safety in the work in the company Cerâmica Nossa Senhora do Carmo Ltda. Leaving of the considerations as the system of the productive process and of interviews accomplished with the workers, regarding to the demands in the Normas Regulamentadoras of the Ministério do Trabalho. It presents the data of inherent physical and ergonomic risings to the activities, comparing the results with the established limits of tolerance for NR's and suggesting alternatives to minimize and/or to neutralize the risks. If tells the conditions of the electric, sanitary facilities, machines, tools and existent equipments.
It describes the protection system against tire, safety's signs used in the factory and the process of elimination of the resulting industrial residues in each production section. It Program of Prevention of Environmental Risks. It concludes that preventive measure, such as reduction sound pression levei, using EPI, machines protection end equipments should be applied with the objective of reducing and/or to eüminate the probable sources of accidents.
