Průběh obhajoby: Milorad Ivetič first charecteried the purinergic receptors and the basic mechanisms involved in their signaling and then intruduced the topic of his dissertation focused on purinergic signaling in
hippocampus. He presented the main objectives of his research and methodological approaches used. The main results were presented using nice graphs and figures. Finally, he summarized the results in the form of relevant conclusions. Both reviewers considered the dissertation of high quality. The student aswered all their questions and was able to answer all other questions raised by the committee members during the discussion. The committee evaluated the thesis and its defence appropriate for awarding the doctorate.
