RESOLUTIONS OF THE WHO OF INTEREST TO THE REGIONAL

COMMITTEE

THE 14th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having examined Document CD14/21, in which the Director brought to the attention of the

Regional Committee for the Americas a number of resolutions of the Sixteenth World Health

Assembly and the Thirty-First and Thirty-Second Sessions of the Executive Board; and

Bearing in mind that the Pan American Sanitary Bureau is already engaged in the matters covered

by the resolutions of the World Health Assembly and the Executive Board,

RESOLVES

To take note of the following resolutions contained in Document CD14/21: EB31.R47 (Expanded

Program of Technical Assistance); EB31.R49 (Decentralization of United Nations Activities);

EB31.R26, WHA 16.17, and EB32.R23 (Malaria Eradication Special Account); EB31.R31 and

WHA16.23 (Development of the Malaria Eradication Program); EB31.R32, Rev. 1, and WHA16.24

Health Promotion: Medical Research); WHA16.27 (Voluntary Fund for Health Promotion:

Community Water Supply); EB31.R39 and WHA16.31 (Continued Assistance to Newly

Independent States); WHA16.37 (Smallpox Eradication Program); and EB31.R50 and WHA16.40

(United Nations Development Decade).
