Divine Mercy Sunday
Dear brothers and sisters,
CHRIST IS RISEN! HE IS RISEN INDEED!
“I desire that the Feast of Mercy be a refuge and shelter for all souls, and especially for poor sinners. On that day, the very depths of My tender mercy are open. I pour out a whole ocean of graces upon those souls who approach the fount of My mercy. The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain the complete forgiveness of sins and punishment. On that day all the divine floodgates through which grace flow are opened. Let no soul fear to draw near to Me, even though its sins be as scarlet.”
These are the words of Jesus to Sister Faus"na to explain the importance of Divine Mercy. We just celebrated the beginning of the East- er Season with the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ death and resurrec"on at the center. We are in the Octave of Easter, in which the Church keeps for 8 days celebra"ng as if it was one day the Resurrec"on. And this 8 days culminate with the celebra"on of Divine Mer- cy. We have been redeemed and saved out of Mercy. God did not have to give us life and happiness, it is because of His mercy that we are enjoying life and happiness. We celebrate that Heaven opens once more for us, inspire of our sins and rebellions. And this is the heart of Divine Mercy. I hope you will partake in the Divine Mercy Chaplet on Sunday at 10:10 am in English and a#er 12:30 mass in Spanish.
Also, the Fes"val is fast approaching, I encourage you to keep dona"ng things for the Fes"val and to buy the advanced "cket rides. The Knights of Columbus are going to have a Spaghe$ dinner on May 3. If we sell the 100 "ckets we have, 60% will go the parish. It is a wonderful occasion to spend "me together.
Saint Francis de Sales Pray for Us!
Queridos hermanos y hermanas:
Fr. Francisco

“Is anyone among you sick? He should summon the presbyters of the church, and they should pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will save the sick person, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed any sins, he will be forgiv- en. Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The fervent prayer of a righteous person is very powerful.” James 5:14-16

April 2 8, 2019
“ Jesus said to them again, ’ Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you. ’” ( John 20:21) Peace– the first giſt of the risen Lord. Just as Jesus sent the apostles out into the world, so too, He sends us. As disciples
of Jesus, we are called to be g$atef%l and generous. Look for oppor&%nities to share His peace, not only within our parish boundaries, but outside of them as well. In giving, we receive
the peace of Jesus Christ.
