APPOINTMENT OF THE EXTERNAL AUDITOR
THE 26th DIRECTING COUNCIL,
Bearing in mind that it has been the practice of the World Health Organization and the Pan
American Health Organization to have the same External Auditor, and that Sir Douglas Henley,
who has been appointed External Auditor of the World Health Organization for the financial period
1980–1981, has expressed his willingness to serve as External Auditor of the Pan American Health
Organization,
RESOLVES
1. To appoint Sir Douglas Henley External Auditor of the Pan American Health Organization for
the financial period 1980–1981 and to request him to conduct his audits in accordance with the
principles set forth in the Financial Regulations, with the proviso that, should the need arise, he may
designate a representative to act for him in his absence.
2. To express its thanks to Sir Douglas Henley for the work he has performed for the Organization
in his audit of the accounts for the financial year 1978.
