LINFÓCITOS T CD4+ E A RESPOSTA IMUNE

CD4+ T LYMPHOCYTES AND THE IMUNE RESPONSE
ABSTRACT
In this review we will cover the most important aspects related to the different functions of T lymphocytes, which are the most studied cells of the immune system. There are several ways of polarized response mediated by CD4+ helper effector, but will discuss the classic forms of type 1 (Th1) and type 2 (Th2). Th1 cells produce primarily interferon gamma (IFN-γ) and protects against intracellular microbes, whereas Th2 cells produce IL-4, IL- 5, IL-9 and IL-13 and protects against gastrointestinal nematodes, and be responsible for allergies. The adaptive immune response based on CD8+
cytolytic T lymphocytes based on the production of cytoplasmic granules whose function is to destroy the target cells, phagocytes enable and induce inflammation. Another population addressed is the regulator formed by regulatory T cells (Tregs), which act by preventing the development of autoimmune diseases through the secretion of immunosuppressive cytokines such as IL10, IL35 and TGF-β. Thus we try to show the great diversity of this review function mediated by different T lymphocyte.
