Abstract:
The design of the electromagnetic motor aims to demonstrate the possible transformations by means of the electromagnetic induction in two inverse forms, both through the generation of a magnetic field in the coils by the passage of electric current, and by the generation of electric energy in the coil by the variation of the magnetic field. In addition, it is visualized how the same kinetic energy generation process of a conventional motor can be utilized by supplying electrical energy to the system. For this purpose, the engine chassis was assembled with eight coils that function like the combustion chambers, and its activation is done by the connection to the relays, which in turn receive the arduino commands. The magnetic field generated in the coils draws its piston inward, moving the crankshaft partially, but when in chain, and in an ordered way, it generates a continuous rotation in the shaft. Using the motor rotation, super magnets were positioned around the steering wheel on the shaft, which from its movement, vary the magnetic field in a ninth coil fixed below the system, thus generating electric current at its terminals. Finally, this current is taken to the indicative LEDs of the panel "V8", for visualization.
