The

mejority

opinions

expressed

this

subject

are

in

American

Sanitary

Bureau

own

building,

be

constructed

in

the

United

States;

study

required

in the

planning

of

such

a building

would

involve

long

and

painstaking

work

which

cannot

be

undertaken

at

the

present

be

acquire

would

provide

the

adequate

conditions

necessary

for

housing

Pan

American

its

headquarters

resolved;

autho

ize

the

Director

of

the

Pan

American

Sanitary

reau

to

undertake

the

study

and

planning

of

a

building

for

the

Bu

r

eau,

in

consulta

t

ion

with

the

a

n

propriate

technical

bodies,

and

to

repo

rt

the

results

the

r

eof

at

a

future

meeting

of

the

Executive

Committee.

2.

To

auth

o

rize

the

Executive

Co

mm

ittee

at

its

XIII

Meeting

to

appoint

a

subcommittee

of

three

Members

who,

in

collabora-tion

with

the

Director

of

the

Bureau,

_«ould take

the

necessary

steps

to

select

and

contract

for

buildings

or

propertv,

on

a

rental

or

purchase

basis,

to

serve

as

an

interim

headquarters

for

the

Bureau

pending

the

construction

of

its

own

building.

3.

To

a

uthorize

the

Director

to

appropriate,

in

accord

with

the

Executive

Committee,

the

amounts

required

for

carry-ing

out

the

recommendations

contained

in

the

preceding

paragraphs.
