CD29.R9: Collection of quota contributions

THE 29th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Having considered the report of the Director on the collection of quota contributions (Document

CD29/27 and Add. I and II);

Considering the importance of prompt and full payment of quota contributions in ensuring the

financing of the authorized program and budget and maintaining the Organization in a sound

financial position; and

Noting the report of the working party on the application of Article 6.B of the PAHO Constitution,

relating to the suspension of voting privileges of Member Governments that fail to meet their

financial obligations,

RESOLVES

1. To take note of the report of the Director on the collection of quota contributions (Document

CD29/27 and Add. I and II).

2. To thank the Member Governments that have already made payments in 1983 and to urge the

other Governments to pay their current quotas as early as possible in the year in which they are due,

so that the work of the Organization can continue and the financial burden of its program can be

spread fairly among all Members.
