The Association for Health Research & Development (ACINDES) is an international, private, non-profit academic institution, founded in 1985. ACINDES organizes and promotes health research and continuing medical education worldwide for healthcare providers (physicians and non physicians) and for the
community in general. It also develops experts’ meetings and consensus conferences, proceedings and recommendations of which have been published in several different languages (English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese). ACINDES brings together health professionals and specialists from different disciplines who contribute their experience to these programs with the goal of improving the quality of health care. It also provides medical writers, translators, medical supervision and quality control for the translation and editing of articles and proceedings arising from these programs.
ACINDES has an agreement with BioMed Central to submit original and review articles, proceedings of experts’ meetings and consensus recommendations for publication as peer-reviewed supplements to BioMed Central’s open access journals. Once approved, publication will occur in English (on the relevant BioMed Central journal website) and in Spanish or Portuguese in print.
The English language version is the original publication and will be archived in PubMed Central.
