“«Flor de Fado» procura ser o jardim onde a sensibilidade, o amor, a diversidade, a beleza, a incondicionalidade de existir possam encontrar a sua casa, a sua transparência, nas palavras eternas dos nossos maiores poetas, nas palavras sensíveis de quem escreve com arte e com o coração, ou simplesmente nas minhas próprias palavras mais verdadeiras.”, descreve assim Mafalda Arnauth o seu novo trabalho. “’Flor de Fado’ is intended to be a garden where sensibility, love, diversity, beauty and the unconditionality of existence can find a home and transparency, in the eternal words of our greatest poets, in the sensitive words of those who write with art and from the heart, or simply in my own most truthful words”: this is how Mafalda Arnauth describes her new work.

A Associação baliaev Centro Cultural organiza, anualmente, este concurso destinado a jovens bailarinos de escolas nacionais e estrangeiras, competindo em dança clássica, dança contemporânea e dança de carácter.

Every year, the Association of the baliaev Centro Cultural organises this competition for young dancers from schools in Portugal and abroad, who compete in classical dance, contemporary dance and character dance.

A célebre Ópera Aida de Verdi chega a Portugal no próximo mês de Abril através de uma super-produção da Grande Ópera de Kazan. A magistral AIDA composta e estreada em 1871, é indubitavelmente uma das mais extraordinárias criações de Verdi e continua a ser um exemplo da “grande ópera” sendo até hoje uma das mais apelativas para o grande público. Além da sua grandiosidade cénica, nunca os elementos de cerimonial e teatralidade e a tragédia individual foram tão sábia e ricamente combinados numa obra musical.

Verdi’s masterpiece AIDA arrives to Portugal next April, through a super production of the Kazan Opera House.

A magistral AIDA composed and performed for the first time in 1871 is undoubt-edly one of the most extraordinary creations of Verdi and remains the epitome of “outstanding opera” being one of the most attractive to the wide public. Apart from its scenic excellence, never have ceremonial elements, theatricality as well as individual tragedy been joined so wisely and brilliantly in just one musical works.

On Easter sunday, Our Lady of Piety will be carried by the litter-bearers from her chapel on the heights of the city of Loulé to the Church of s. Francisco, where she will stay for a fortnight. This is the beginning of the Festival of the sovereign Mother, a major religious event which is part of the experience of all the people of Loulé.
