Washington D.C., 22 September – 3 October 1980
RESOLUTION
CD27.R36
QUOTA ASSESSMENT: SAINT LUCIA
THE 27th DIRECTING COUNCIL,
Having approved the request of the Government of Saint Lucia for membership in the Pan
American Health Organization;
Considering that Article V (5.10) of the Financial Regulations of PAHO provides that, if
membership begins at any time during the first year of a financial period, new members will be
assessed for the full two-year period;
Considering that Resolution XXVIII of the XXVI Meeting of the Directing Council approved a
supplementary budget to be utilized in 1980 for the Pan American Zoonoses Center and the Pan
American Foot-and-Mouth Disease Center, to be financed by quota contributions from the Member
and Participating Governments; and
Bearing in mind that the quota assessed should be equivalent to the appropriate percentage shown in
the scale adopted by the Organization of American States, in compliance with Article 60 of the Pan
American Sanitary Code, but should not be higher than the per capita contribution of the largest
contributor,
RESOLVES
2. To assess the net quota for the 1980–1981 regular budget at $20,403.
3. To assess the net quota for the supplementary budget to be utilized in 1980 for the Pan American
Zoonoses Center and the Pan American Foot-and-Mouth Disease Center at $290.
