Welcome to Holy Rosary Parish Dear Friends,
I hope that you have had some time to discern a pledge to the 2021 -2022 Catholic Parishes Campaign.
An encouragement for couples to make this decision together when possible. Often when we fail to hear from a household it is because each thought that the other had taken care
of submitting the pledge card. Your prompt response will be most helpful. Our goal this year is $287,356. Thanks for your help.
We had a good response the first week of balloting for new Parish Council Members. If you have not yet filled out a ballot, please do so before the end of the day Monday, October 4th. Many thanks for all the candidates that accepted the nomination to serve. We have a very strong ballot this year.
Christ’s peace, Fr. Bernie

Queridos amigos,

Holy Rosary’s CAJE Listening Session will be in the Parish Hall Saturday, October 16, 5:30-7:00 pm. This meeting gives us the opportunity to share stories, to raise our concerns, and to reaffirm our commitment to join together with over 20 other Congregations Acting for Justice and Empowerment (CAJE) in the Evansville area. This is the beginning of a process that identifies, researches and creates solutions over the coming months and culminates in our taking action for those in need. Current initiatives include efforts to achieve safer neighborhoods, more affordable housing and more available mental health services. Pizza will be served.
CALLED TO BE FAITHFUL STEWARDS CATHOLIC PARISHES CAMPAIGN 2021-2022 This weekend we will ask for your commitment in supporting the ministries of the local church: The Diocese of Evansville. Our financial contributions to the Catholic Parishes Campaign are the primary way for us to join Bishop Siegel in support of the work of the Diocese of Evansville. We are grateful to you for your past support of this vital work and we ask that you prayerfully consider continuing your support this year.
If you have never made a contribution to the appeal, or if you haven’t contributed lately, please consider doing so this year.
We are called to be Faithful and Prudent Stewards.
As St. Joseph was called to care for the Son of God, so we are called to care for the many gifts God has given us. It is good to use those gifts to grow God’s kingdom in our diocese through our financial contributions to the Catholic Parishes Campaign. We are grateful to you for your past support of this vital work and we ask that you prayerfully consider continuing your support this year. If you have never made a contribution to the appeal, or if you haven’t contributed lately, please consider doing so this year.
Thanks in advance for your support of the 2021/2022 CPC Campaign.

If you are interested in volunteering or you want more information, please contact Carol Ann (812-477-8923 or [email protected]) or go to the Children's Education page at www.hrparish.org/childrensed.

Stewardship Food for Thought Twenty-seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time Weekend of October 2/3, 2021 In today’s Gospel Jesus teaches us about the sacredness of marriage; a covenant that is a gift from God. Our relationships with our spouses, family, friends, coworkers, and those in our community of faith are all gifts from God. Jesus reminds us today that it is the hardened heart that damages or breaks up relationships.
Good stewards understand the holiness of relationships and pray for the love, patience, understanding and kindness necessary to sustain those relationships. Take time out to prayerfully reflect on your relationships this week. Is your stewardship of these relationships as God intended? What relationships need to be healed and reconciled?
