would greatly appreciate Member States other than those mentioned above informing the Smallpox Eradi-cation Unit, World Health Organization, 1211 Geneva 27, Switzerland, as to whether they have discontinued vaccination of their defense personnel.

In countries that have not yet decided to discontinue

vaccination of military personnel, a temporary regula-tion of two weeks quarantine for newly vaccinated recruits would decrease the risk of spread to contacts.
