RESOLUTION

RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE JOINT WHO/FAO EXPERT

COMMITTEE ON NUTRITION, SECOND SESSION

THE 5th DIRECTING COUNCIL,

Acting as the Regional Committee of the World Health Organization for the Americas,

Considering that the Executive Board of the World Health Organization, at its Seventh Session, on

6 June 1951, requested the Director-General of the World Health Organization to transmit to the

Regional Committees the recommendations contained in the report on the Second Session of the

Joint WHO/FAO Expert Committee on Nutrition (Document WHO/NUT/18) for inclusion when

possible in future programs; and

Considering that the Director-General has suggested that the Council be informed of this item,

RESOLVES

To approve that the Pan American Sanitary Bureau, Regional Office of the World Health

Committee on Nutrition (Document WHO/NUT/18), suggesting that these recommendations be

included in future national programs as soon as possible.
