Most Catholic churches have a window or statue dedicated to the saint. If you’re an old-time Catholic in Poland and your name is Józef, tradition holds that you throw a party for your friends and neighbors. Whatever your name, why not wear red today, put fava beans in your pocket, and maybe throw a party?

Drop in on the Daughters of Isabella pillowcase committee (Sew and Sows) meeting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 20th, to learn how to create simple pillowcases for the kids at Mandy’s Place in Children’s Village. The children have been re- moved from their homes for various reasons by the court. The pillowcases welcome the children and let them know someone is thinking of them.
