UM POSTAL, UMA REFEIÇÃO
GASPORTO EM MOÇAMBIQUE E PFUKA U FAMBA
O GASPORTO tem vindo a atuar, desde 2003, na vila da Macia, em
Moçambique. Esta vila situa-se a 160 quilómetros de Maputo, tem
cerca de 50 mil habitantes e apresenta grandes necessidades.
Pfuka U Famba, que significa “Levanta-te e anda” no dialeto local, é
um Centro de Reabilitação Nutricional, reaberto pelo GASPORTO em
2007, que apoia diariamente 20 crianças em estado de subnutrição,
em parceria com a Igreja Católica e o Centro de Saúde da vila da
Macia.
A sua atuação tem por base o fornecimento diário de alimentação
- leite em pó, papas enriquecidas e sopas. As crianças acolhidas
têm também acesso a banho e a atividades para estimular as suas
capacidades cognitivas, garantindo este apoio até à recuperação
do seu estado nutricional. Além do suprimento da necessidade
imediata, o GASPORTO centra a sua intervenção na importância da
formação e da capacitação apropriadas dos cuidadores.
Os lucros obtidos com a venda dos postais de Natal revertem
para o Programa Pfuka U Famba.
