Greetings and Farewells
Veja o quadro a seguir e acompanhe o áudio correspondente, praticando a pronúncia.

General Guidelines Class Color: Orange This class is an extension of the previous one, adding new elements to descriptions. That’s the only reason why the class is orange. This change won’t affect their confidence, since the new topic is closely related to the previous one and, therefore, easy to grasp.
Interaction takes place in a freer, more soft-spoken way, using structures students learn as the activity flows.
TG (Part One) Duration: 10–15 minutes Procedures: Correct
“Etapa 3”—play the recording to clarify doubts if necessary. Close the review by organizing the following elements on the board: greetings and farewells; introductions;
common questions to request information.
TG (Part Two) Duration: 30–35 minutes Type of Interaction: 1 Procedures: Students are supposed to walk around the classroom interviewing their classmates. The chart has room for information about three students, but if time allows, they can ask more people. They have twenty minutes to do so.
After collecting all the information, they must introduce themselves, informing their name, age, origin, profession, address, and phone number. Pay attention to the questions they ask, the information they collect, and to their presentations.
Output Awareness:
INTRO–C2: Focus on the following elements:
pronunciation; the use of question words; sentence order in questions;
appropriate answers; and vocabulary selection.
TG (Part Three) Duration: 5–10 minutes Procedures: The Closing should focus on their performance during Interaction. Talk about the result of the interview, how they felt, and remind them they have to make the best out of these moments. Remind them that these moments are pretty close to those they will face in real life in the future. Make it clear for them what was expected and focus on their achievements.
