Introduction
This is a very concise description of the knowledge and skills required of a skilled, professional operator of digital printing systems. It is roughly based of the draft proposal describing the further vocational qualifica- tion according to the Finnish adult vocational training structure. To get the further vocational qualification the learner has to show his knowledge and working skills by passing a series of tests with the emphasis on the working skills in practical job at the work place.
To be able to learn and train for the tests and, on the other hand, to be able to evaluate the knowledge and skills, the requirements of the qualification must be set in detail. In the Finnish system the requirement is divided in five different parts. The learner must pass in test all five parts of the requirements to get the fur- ther vocational qualification.
This CustomDP course "Required skills for further vocational qualification in digital printing" is on the one hand describing in detail what the learner is required to know, understand, able to do or what jobs he even is required to master. In the right hand column, on the other hand, there is a reading guide explaining which documents in the database of CustomDP may contain such information, which is relevant and useful to read and learn to cope with the requirements in question.
The CustomDP course is divided in five parts corresponding to the further vocational qualification. The learner will be able to pick up the proper documents from the database for print out or reading on screen. The learner also may chose to import all the documents recommended for reading in each of the five parts. To avoid unnecessary printing each document appears only one in the various parts of the course, although the number and name of the document may appear in the readings list two or several times.
For the further vocational qualification in digital printing the learner is required to choose only one of the three optional job tasks of Part 5. Thus, the documents for each task may are listed separately in the data- base of CustomDP. If you choose to print them all, you will find out that some central documents may be re- peated in the collection for each sub part.
