Integrity, Impartiality and Independence

Eurofins Certification is an ISO/IEC 17065 accredited independent certification body, providing certification audits and issuing certificates of compliance regarding a management system, a product or a service against appropriate standards or specifications.

One of the key values of the Eurofins Group is integrity. Integrity involves:

- The ethical behavior of auditors and staff - The respect of our clients and employees

The commercial stakes of the services that Eurofins Certification delivers are so important to our customers that our organism is exposed and might be subject to different pressures, in particular financial or commercial ones.

To counter these pressures and protect our auditors and staff, we have implemented appropriate measures, including:

- Certification decisions are made by third persons (staff) who do not take part in the audits on site. Their work is based on official, detailed and documented audit reports.

- Eurofins certification does not provide consulting services which would lead to conflict of interest

- None of our single clients generates a revenue that could significantly weaken our financial independence

- A periodical monitoring of our activities is undertaken by an impartiality committee, composed of external members representing stakeholders of the supply chain.

- Our auditors are bound by contract to inform us and avoid any potential risk of conflict of interest. Furthermore, they commit to do so prior to each audit by signing an appropriate specific document.
