The Kuril Basin is located in the southern part of the Sea of Okhotsk, north of the arc of the Kuril Island (Fig. 1). The diatom analyzes have been used for the study of the Holocene sediments in the area up to the Kuril Basin. The main indicators reflecting climatic characteristics were: concentration of the diatoms in the sediments and the ecological structure of the diatom assemblages.

Ferromanganese mineralization in the marginal seas of the Pacific Northwest occurs almost ubiquitously at the upper reaches and calderas of volcanic seamounts. Active SGD has been documented in the vicinity of the Lena River Delta with two different operational modes. The tephra layers were found and studied in 9 sediment cores taken in the northern part of the Emperor Range (the Detroit Rise and Tenji Rise).

Sedimentary features of the hyperpycnic current in the modern Yellow River delta // Indian Journal of Geo-marine Sciences. Fragments of the 16s rRNA DNA gene were sequenced in an ABI 3130XL analyzer at the Center for Genomics (Novosibirsk). The highest concentrations of GEM were recorded in the Kamchatka sector of the Pacific Ocean and in the Bering Sea (September 19-21), in the Chukchi Sea (September 25-28).

Spatial distribution of GEM in the surface layer of the atmosphere, measured by R/V Academik M.A.

DIAGENESIS OF MAGNETIC MINERALS IN SEDIMENTS OF THE SEA OF JAPAN (YAMATO RISE) OVER THE LAST 78KA AND ITS EFFECT ON GEOMAGNETICS. Algorithms for obtaining key oceanic (SST, and W) and atmospheric (V, Q, and R) parameters were developed for each radiometer [1-5].

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE PHYTOPLANKTON COMMUNITIES IN THE SAKHALIN ISLAND CUZONE AND CHARACTERIZATION OF POTENTIAL TOXIC ALGAE SPECIES. This is significantly higher than the average value of the air-sea CO2 flux in the World Ocean. Phase variability of some features of the present-day climate in the North Atlantic region // Doklady Earth Sciences.

Time series comparison of the BFA, SR and relative amounts (%) of the BF dominant species changes with variations in surface water productivity (chlorine (ng/g), TOC (wt%), Si-bio (cps) and MS (10-4 Si un).About 1185×106 tons of fine-grained sediment accumulate annually in the mud areas of the East China Sea.Marginal Seas of the Northwest Pacific (Marginal Seas of the East Asian Sea). ) form the long chain from the Bering Sea (the northern part) to the South China Sea and the Philippine Sea (the southern part).

DIATOMS AS INDICATORS OF LATE HOLOCENE ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES IN THE EAST SIBERIAN AND CHUKCHI SEAS. The distribution characteristics of diatoms in the Late Holocene sediments of the East Siberian and Chukchi seas were studied. The latter is more widely distributed in the western region of the sea, with the main supply of sedimentary material [2].

Cluster analysis revealed several diatom assemblages in the surface sediments of the study area; their distribution depended on the hydrological conditions. This research is the result of the collaboration with the GEOMAR project (German) carried out within the framework of the KOMEX programme.

RADIOLARIAN RESPONSE OF THE OKHOT SEA TO ORBITAL AND MILLENNIAL CLIMATE CHANGES OVER THE PAST 135 KYR.

It is likely that the TRC and SR are mainly determined by the variability of the East Asian winter monsoons, which affect the environment and ice cover of the OS. PERSISTING EFFECTS OF THE YELLOW RIVER ON CHINA'S MARGINAL SEA STARTED AT LEAST BEFORE ~880 KA. This new finding is the first marine evidence of the drainage history of the Yellow River within a precise chronological framework.

Bacterioplankton production characteristics are also affected by seawater pH, which in turn depends on the CO2 content of the atmosphere. List production characteristics of microbial and phytoplankton communities and estimates of dissolved organic matter. The low C/N ratio (<8) in the middle and north of the South Yellow Sea also indicated that sediment organics are derived from the sea.
