System Design Flow

Designing the LMAP03U

  • Selecting the air conditioners
  • Selecting the function
  • Selecting the system control parts
  • Object
  • Restrictions on system configuration

In this case, set it so that the control area of the LM ADAPTER is included in the control area of the system controller (air conditioner), which should be the main SC. In case the control area of the LM ADAPTER partially covers the control area of the system controller, install the system controller so that it covers the entire control area of the LM ADAPTER. Each remote control provides a different function used by the LM ADAPTER and a different way of building the system.

According to the system configuration, the setting of the LM ADAPTER and the outdoor units should be partially changed. ① When using the system controller that can be set to prohibit the operation of the local remote controller, make sure that the controller for setting the operation prohibits one unit, either the LM ADAPTER (BMS) or the system controller. ② Operation ban cannot be applied to other system controllers by LM ADAPTER (from BMS).

③ Although air conditioners cannot be operated by the local remote controller whose operation is prohibited, they can be operated by LM ADAPTER (BMS) or other system controllers. The emergency stop of LM ADAPTER stops all air conditioners together, but it does not set the operation prohibition of the local remote controller which allows the operation from other system controller or local remote controller.

Design and Operation of LONWORKS System

  • Function relating to installing
  • Operation at power recovery
  • Response restrictions on Poll (Fetch) demand
  • Operation/setting of air conditioner
  • State monitoring
  • Measurement (Analog value)
  • Trouble/alarm monitoring
  • Emergency stop

When the LM ADAPTER is in the shipping status (unconfigured status), the service LED flashes. After receiving the WINK message from the LONWORKS network, the LM ADAPTER will flash the maintenance LED 001 for approximately 10 seconds. After the power source is turned on (same as power restoration after an instantaneous power cut/outage), the LM ADAPTER needs a time for initialization to collect the connection and operating status of air conditioners up to 50 sets to be controlled.

After receiving the Poll (Fetch) request from the BMS, the LM ADAPTER responds with the latest value of the corresponding variable. For operation/configuration of air conditioners, please renew the value of the input variable of LM ADAPTER. The method for monitoring the running condition of air conditioners from BMS via LM ADAPTER can be roughly classified into two systems, namely (1) Event driven system and (2) Polling system.

The state is automatically output by the LM ADAPTER on the change of the air conditioner status (event generation). During this time, the status of the air conditioner maintained by the BMS and the actual one are different. Like the state output of the conditioners, the state will be informed by the LM ADAPTER on state change or periodically.

The problems/alarms that can be monitored with the LM ADAPTER can be mainly classified as follows. It differs depending on the type of LM ADAPTER) ① Problems with equipment such as air conditioners and remote controls. Air conditioning equipment that has problems is communicated to the BMS by the network variables via the LM ADAPTER.

When the communication (M-NET) between the LM ADAPTER and the air conditioner is disabled, the LM ADAPTER monitors the communication with the air conditioner for a certain period of time and informs you about the communication error if it detects an abnormality. Several factors can be considered as the cause of the inability of the main system to communicate with the LM ADAPTER. The node object is an exclusive variable for performing health checks (for lifetime judgment) on the LM ADAPTER.

The filter character on the local remote control or similar will also be reset. On the local remote or system controller controlling the device generating an error, the error code and generation source address are displayed. On the local remote or system controller controlling the device with a generated error, the error code and generation source address are displayed.

When operation is prohibited, operation cannot be performed from the local remote control, but it can be performed from the LM ADAPTER. This function is effective only when using MA remote control (PAR-20MAA) for the local remote control. The Prohibit/Allow setting of the local remote control of LOSSNAY individual operation is only possible when the OA treatment unit is controlled with MA remote control.

The local remote controller operation prohibition setting will automatically allow the local remote controller to operate if the effective time passes without restoring the set value within the effective time set by “Effective TIme_2 【nciEffectTm_2】”. Description Operation setting and control to prohibit/allow all local remote controllers to be connected to indoor units and ventilation units that are operated individually (without locking). The operation of all local remote controllers to connect to indoor units and ventilation units is collectively set to prohibit/permit.

When operation is set to prohibit, the operation is disabled by the local remote controller, but it can be done by LM ADAPTER. Description Sets the limit on the temperature range that can be set with the local remote control and the simplified shutdown of operation. 34;Set temperature range limit" Limits the temperature range that can be set with the local remote controller.

By setting the set temperature range and simplified locking, the display details of the local remote control can also be set. When the operation from the local remote control is not desired, use it together with the variable "Request Collective Operation prohibit【nviAllPro】". Since the operation from the local remote controller or system controller is valid, the operation can be started, but it stops soon.

To stop operation from the local remote control or system controller, use the collective operation stop setting together in combination. Depending on the cause of the communication error, the air conditioners can be operated from the local remote control.

Outline of Functions – Configuration Properties

Description Defines the start time of automatic update when switching on the LM ADAPTER. Description Defines the start time of the output network variable change when driving LM ADAPTER. This is to set the start time of output when it changes when LM ADAPTER is powered.

The switching output becomes active when the set time has elapsed after switching on. Description Defines the time to start the output when the output network variables change when the LM ADAPTER is turned on, and the minimum sending time between the output network variables on the first output. Purpose This is used to prevent image mismatch when the output of the LM ADAPTER is not normally received by the receiver.

When the set time has elapsed after auto updating or executing when changing the previous one. In this case, the last value of LM ADAPTER is provided even if the data is unchanged. Purpose This is used to prevent image mismatch when the LM ADAPTER output fails during normal reception by the receiver.

When the set time has passed after the automatic update or output upon change of the previous nvoSpaceTemp_n (room temperature state output), the objective variable will be updated (output). If emergency stop is requested by 【nviAllOff】 (Request all off), all units controlled by LM ADAPTER will be stopped. Upon receipt of collective operation prohibition request by 【nviAllPro】 (Request collective operation prohibition), the operation (ON-OFF mode/temperature setting) of the local remote controller connected to all units controlled with LM ADAPTER will be prohibited.

Purpose The mode will be fixed to judge whether initialization has started when the LM ADAPTER is turned on. Description Defines the indoor temperature monitoring interval from ADAPTER LM to the indoor unit. The set details will be reflected on the local remote when "Valid" is requested from.

While the Neuron Chip is stopped during the initialization setting of the LM ADAPTER with air conditioners. At the set time after power-on, the Neuron Chip will start working, allowing the LonWorks LM ADAPTER to communicate.
