DANGER: Do not tamper with the microswitches, as this would make the function of the fan coil unit unsafe. During cooling, there may be water vapor in the fan convector's air supply. Sometimes the fan convector can emit unpleasant odors due to the accumulation of dirt in the air in the environment (especially if the room is not ventilated regularly, clean the filter more often).

WITH SIMPLE ELECTRONIC THERMOSTAT: fan coil equipped with a control panel with an electronic room thermostat for controlling the fan on and off. The control panel controls the function of the fan coil to maintain the set room temperature. The change is manual, the user selects the function mode (Heating or Cooling) by operating the selector on the control panel.

The valve (accessory) opens or closes in accordance with switching on and off the fan. There are also drawings with dimensions of fan coils and wiring diagrams with connections to control panels.

To prevent the formation of condensation on the outside of the appliance while the fan is operating, the average water temperature must not fall below the limits shown in the table below, determined by the thermo-hydrometric ambient conditions. If condensation forms on the outside of the unit when cold water circulates through the coil with the fan turned off for a long time, it is recommended to install the additional three-way valve.

The sound power level generated by ducted fancoils (FCX -PO) depends on the fan speed and the operating point reached according to the pressure drop. The following diagrams can be used to obtain the sound power level (A-weighted), expressed in dB (A) in relation to the corresponding curve, according to the available air flow and static pressure values.

Note: The VCF valve and the BC4 drip tray can be installed at the same time as the fan coil. Made of plastic, mounted on the underside of the cabinet when the appliance is placed on the floor. Made of galvanized steel, mounted on the underside of the cabinet when the appliance is placed on the floor and recessed into the wall.

The mounting location must be chosen so that the maximum and minimum room temperature limit of 0÷45°C (<85% U.R.) is respected. When installing on the floor using skirting boards, please refer to the instructions supplied with the accessory. The condensate drain network must be properly sized and the piping must be positioned to maintain a sufficient slope (min. 1%) along the route.

In case of drainage in the sewage system, it is recommended to install a siphon that prevents unpleasant odors from returning to the rooms. If the three-way VCF valve is installed, the SW water probe must be replaced with the SW3 accessory, the bulb of which will be placed in the distribution pipe upstream of the valve. The VCF valve and the BC4 basin cannot be installed at the same time on the same fan coil.

Make the electrical connections as specified in the wiring diagrams and in the “Electrical connections” chapter. To change the settings of the electronic thermostat, use the Dip-Switches located in the panel (see installation manual). Replace the cover, remembering that for models that have one, to connect the chamber probe which must protrude approximately 3mm from the probe holder and be properly secured using the relevant probe block.

Some models with an electronic thermostat, by means of the Autotest procedure, allow the control of correct operation. The electrical circuits are connected to the mains voltage of 230V ~ 50Hz; Therefore all connections and components must be insulated for this voltage. All cables must be fed into a pipe or duct until they reach the fan coil.

The cables coming out of the conduit or duct must be placed so that they are not stressed by tensile or torsional forces and must however be protected against external influences. For all connections, follow the wiring diagrams supplied with the device and listed in this documentation. To protect the device against short circuit, mount a multipole magnetic switch 2A 250V (IG) on the supply line with a minimum contact opening distance of 3mm.

INFORMATION FOR THE INSTALLATION

It is advised to properly insulate the water pipes or to install an additional condensate tray, available as an accessory, to prevent it from falling during operation in cooling mode.
