The information in this manual is in accordance with the description of the units on. As part of a policy of continuous product improvement, AERMEC SpA reserves the right to make any changes necessary to improve the product at any time. Do not use chemical products or solvents to clean any part of the fan coil unit.

Do not spray water on the external or internal surfaces of the fan coil unit (this may cause a short circuit). During cooling, water vapor may be present in the air intake of the fan convector. During the operation of the unit, noise and creaks may occur inside the device due to different thermal expansion of the elements (plastic and metal), but this does not indicate a malfunction and does not damage the unit, unless the maximum inlet water temperature is exceeded.

The headers are fitted with female hydraulic connections and air vents in the upper part of the spool. The full potential of the VED units can be utilized by combining control panels, thermostats and other accessories in the VMF series. Control of the VED unit in a complex network of up to 64 zones with 6 fan coils (up to 384 fan coils with a single VMF-E5 control board).

The use of water at high temperatures can cause squeaking due to the different thermal expansions of the elements (plastics and metals), it does not.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

WARNING: It is mandatory to connect the phase (L) and neutral (N) power cables to the respective terminals, do not reverse the connections and follow the wiring diagram. To protect the device against short circuits, you must connect a 2A 250V (IG) omnipolar thermal-magnetic protection device to the mains with a minimum contact opening distance of 3 mm. The cross-section of the neutral conductor must be of a size that, taking into account the operating current, is equal to 170% of the total load absorbed by the fan coil units for each phase.

WARNING: Make sure the control panel supports the electric motor load, otherwise install a SIT3 interface accessory between the fan and the control panel. If present, connect the valve and sensor to the control board in the positions shown in the wiring diagram. On installations with a 3-way valve, the minimum water temperature sensor must be moved from its standard mounting to the coil mounting on the delivery hose upstream of the valve.

If higher motor speeds are required, change the connection to the control board on the electric motor. Refer to sizing data for position, type and diameter of hydraulic connections. Relief valves are positioned on top of the coil near the hydraulic fittings.

Warning: To drain the unit, use the exhaust valves located in the lower part of the coil near the hydraulic fittings. To make use of the higher speeds (terminals 2 and 1), disconnect the wires from the standard speed terminals and connect them to the desired speed terminals. Connect the tray connection to the condensate drain system using a hose attached to the tray connection.

Test the functionality and tightness of the condensate drain system by pouring water into the tray. The container is designed to drain condensate on both sides. The condensate drain connection is best used on the side of the hydraulic connection. Move the carrier plate, control panel, ground u-bolt and all electrical devices from the right side to the left side.

COIL ROTATION

The drain connections are designed to be connected only to flexible hoses of suitable internal diameter, avoid the application of larger loads and are not used for other purposes. The condensate drainage network must be properly graded and the pipes must be placed in such a way as to maintain a suitable slope along the track (min. 1%). If the condensate flows into the sewage system, install a siphon to prevent unpleasant odors from returning to the room.

The spaces between the solar collector and the hole in the side must be completely sealed and filled with insulating material. Block the holes left open by the hydraulic connections on the left side with insulating material.
