The council has also successfully secured £7.5m of funding from the government's Getting Building Fund through the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, to accelerate the delivery of One City Park, which is part of the council's wider regeneration of the city. The Council has, over the past 7 years, worked closely with its appointed developer, Bradford Live, to deliver the redevelopment of the former Odeon Cinema into a new 4,000 capacity live events venue. The Council placed 21 vulnerable refugees in the District on a fully funded basis through a Home Office scheme during 2020-2021.

Delivery of the Council's Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs), home improvement loan/grant and Empty Homes programs has been significantly restricted throughout the three lockdown periods. We exceeded our target for foster care recruitment in 2020/21 despite the challenges of the pandemic. Effective surveillance of the COVID-19 pandemic in Bradford County to enable early identification of patterns of transmission and outbreaks.

For example, we wrote to all households in the district about creating a household plan to manage the impact of the COVID restrictions. Protecting and enhancing biodiversity continues to support the management of the network of protected areas and the mitigation of the impact of development and the strengthening of the network of habitats across the district. The service managed the program and also contributed to one of the five sets of support that were available.

Due to the need to increase the number of staff to assist the Council's response in managing the Covid-19 pandemic, a number of recruitments have been required.

APPENDICES

One key strand of this is the use of the Apprenticeship Levy; commitments made under the Health and Social Care Economic Partnership and the West Yorkshire Combined Authority Levy Transfer Scheme will ensure that the levy is retained and spent in the area. Keighley and to support the development of a larger sixth form center in the north of the county. SkillsHouse is at the heart of the "Inspire, Reskill, Upskill" set of priorities in the economic recovery plan.

We also saw that the earnings of the lowest paid grew faster than the earnings of the better paid residents. The introduction of the minimum wage has had a positive effect on improving the wage levels of our lowest paid workers. Long-term trends show that there was no statistically significant change in healthy life expectancy in the county from 2009 to 2011.

It is an important aggregate measure of the health and well-being of a population on its own, but also in combination with other information, such as life expectancy. If we continue to support people to live longer without maintaining good health, demand for health care will only increase for all parts of the system (primary care, community care including VCS, and emergency and planned hospital care) . All prevention cases in the past and since the introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Act (2018) are shown above.

For example, within our children's homes placements have not been interrupted as a result of the pandemic. We are planning to let this hub "bed in" and launch a second constellation before the end of the year. There is ample evidence that many of the issues that help or hinder health outcomes have structural, social, and behavioral determinants.

Our performance in on-time completion of SDQs has also improved over the past twelve months as a result of greater control over performance (helped by data availability and a more stable management team) and new systems and improved communications between us and the healthcare. colleagues. Bradford met UK air quality targets for all pollutants, with the exception of the annual average target for nitrogen dioxide (40ug/m3) in a number of locations next to busy roads. Given the difficulties of the year, we were pleased with the result, which was an improvement on last year's figure of 93.94%.

There are some challenges in promoting and marketing the network, so all staff are aware of this. An evaluation of the Future Leaders program shows that 43.75% of participants were black, Asian and minority ethnic colleagues. 37.5% of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Future Leaders in the cohort progressed through promotions/temporary secondments, compared to 50% of non-Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic Future Leaders.

20,000 more people working in the district by 2030 Median earnings of employees in the area 48,000 additional number of people in the district with NVQ.
