However, the Group noted that a full complement of data was available and assigned a full GESAMP risk profile, as set out below. Noting that the data presented for Creosote (coal tar) C8-C22, MW 116-278 may be relevant to the evaluations for Creosote (coal tar) (EHS 524), the Group agreed that a review of this product was guaranteed and agreed. to consider this issue under item 4 of the agenda. In reviewing the available data, the Group changed a number of estimates, as set out below.
After consideration, the Group agreed that the B2 rating of NI should be amended to (3) and a D3 rating of R should be added. Consequently, the Group reviewed the ratings for creosote (coal tar) and agreed that the D3 rating should be changed from CM to CMRSs.

7 ESPH 23 agreed, based on expert judgment, taking into account industry experience and information presented in document ESPH 23/6/1 (Liberia et al.), not to include special requirement 15.12.3.1 in column o of the cart the requirements set out for methyl alcohol in the revised draft chapter 17 of the IBC Code. Additionally, an asterisk ( * ) was added to the product name, recalling that this footnote "indicates that with reference to chapter 21 of the IBC Code (paragraph 21.1.3), deviations from the normal designation criteria used for some the transport requirement has been implemented". 34; During the revision of Chapters 17 and 18 of the IBC Code, it was agreed that the requirements in paragraph 15.12.3.1 of the IBC Code should not be applied by the revised transport requirements, based on the experience and judgment of experts.
9 ESPH 23 further noted that a complete revision of section 15.12.3 of the IBC Code may be necessary in the future and invited proposals to the PPR Subcommittee.

7 GESAMP recalled that the funding of Working Group 1 is based on a fixed fee, which is charged for each new product evaluation. As reported following discussions at GESAMP 42, GESAMP noted that the level of effort involved in these reassessments was considerable and, as a consequence, consideration should be given to establishing a fee for this service, as is done for full assessments . . The responsible ONM bodies agreed to ask the GESAMP/EHS Working Group to continue monitoring this issue and report, as appropriate.

Scoping activities
16 GESAMP considered an overview document on the impact of pharmaceutical products and other new chemicals on waste water. GESAMP noted that the scope as presented was too broad for GESAMP to engage and that a narrower focus would be of interest to some sponsoring organizations. It was suggested that a better focus on the marine environment and environmentally sustainable pharmaceuticals would be beneficial.
Subsequently, GESAMP agreed to revise the scoping paper in the intersessional period, with the revised, more clearly defined focus on the marine environment. It was also agreed to explore the possibility of organizing a workshop led by UN Environment, based on the revised scoping paper. 17 On the afternoon of Wednesday 6 September, WMO and GESAMP held a special side event entitled “CO2 in the Atmosphere-Ocean System: Impacts and Feedback”.
Other impacts on the oceans associated with the increase in greenhouse gases in the atmosphere include warming and oxygen depletion, as >90% of the heat energy accumulated in the climate system is stored in the ocean. There is a possibility that the ocean floor could become saturated and respond by increasing the fraction of naturally emitted CO2 and other greenhouse gases, accelerating the growth rate of the atmosphere.
