As porcelanas prensadas PM9 apresentam maiores valores de resistência à flexão biaxial e dureza Vickers quando comparada com a porcelana de aplicação convencional VM9. No entanto, nenhuma diferença estatística foi encontrada entre VM9 e PM9 em relação aos valores de tenacidade à fratura. Em relação aos corpos-de- prova bicamada, os espécimes zircônia/porcelana prensada PM9 apresentaram valores de resistência à flexão biaxial maiores que os espécimes zircônia/porcelana convencional VM9. Já o método de resfriamento não interferiu na resistência à flexão biaxial de ambos os materiais.
