Diante dos resultados apresentados, concluimos que, protocolos de AE de 3 séries de 30s, bem como AD de 3 séries de 30 repetições nos músculos isquiotibiais, não alteram a flexibilidade e o desempenho neuromuscular e funcional agudo e crônico de sujeitos ativos e saudáveis. Além disso, o efeito agudo do alongamento estático e dinâmico nas diferentes variáveis analisadas, não é afetado pelo treino de flexibilidade de 10 sessões e, este treinamento não influencia no ganho residual avaliado 48 horas após o programa de alongamento.

A partir destes achados, consideramos que o AE e AD, tal como o utilizado no presente estudo, devem ser prescritos com cautela, principalmente quando o objetivo é o aumento da flexibilidade a curto prazo. Além disso, possivelmente os efeitos de ambas as técnicas no desempenho podem ser volume dependente, visto que os resultados expostos na literatura são condraditórios quanto a este aspecto e, não observamos no presente estudo, efeitos positivos ou negativos no desempenho, ao realizar o protocolo estabelecido para ambas as técnicas.

A partir dos achados aqui elucidados, outra pergunta carece ainda de resposta: qual a influência de diferentes intensidades de auto AE e, diferentes velocidades de AD (lenta, progressiva e rápida), no ganho de flexibilidade, desempenho neuromuscular e funcional, quando realizado dentro de um programa de alongamento?

Esclarecimentos

Este é um convite para você participar da pesquisa: “EFEITOS AGUDO E CRÔNICO DO ALONGAMENTO ESTÁTICO E DINÂMICO NA FLEXIBILIDADE, DESEMPENHO NEUROMUSCULAR E FUNCIONAL: ENSAIO CLÍNICO RANDOMIZADO, CONTROLADO E CEGO”, que tem como pesquisador responsável o Prof. Dr. Wouber Hérickson de Brito Vieira.

Este estudo se propõe a verificar os efeitos, agudo e crônico, do alongamento estático e dinâmico, avaliando a amplitude de movimento, sensação dolorosa, valência afetiva, tempo de latência muscular, desempenho isocinético e desempenho funcional.

A partir deste protocolo poderemos disponibilizar informações que serão utilizadas por profissionais da área de Fisioterapia e Educação Física na elaboração de programas de treinamento e inserção do tipo de técnica adequada para o objetivo desejado, além de melhorar a qualidade de vida dos que participarem através da prática de alongamento.

Caso decida aceitar o convite, o senhor será submetido(a) aos seguintes procedimentos: avaliações sobre dados gerais da sua saúde e condições físicas dos membros inferiores, respeitando os critérios de inclusão na pesquisa. Em seguida, será alocado em um dos três grupos (controle, alongamento estático ou

alongamento dinâmico), onde será realizada a avaliação da linha de base (iniciais) e avaliações posteriores, composta por: mensuração da Amplitude de Movimento; Tempo de Latência Muscular; Desempenho Funcional e Isocinético, este último,
