Este foi um trabalho com o objetivo de estudar, conceituar e analisar a Terceira Plataforma Computacional, assim foram feitos estudos base da história e evolução até os dias atuais, passando então para as tecnologias de ponta que são a chave do trabalho: Computação em Nuvem, Web Social, Mobilidade e Big data. Após definições de conceitos chave, fazemos comparações e análises desses aspectos na indústria, finalizando com um estudo mais elaborado de uma empresa imersa na nova Era.

No capítulo 3 foram posicionados os 4 pilares fundamentais da Terceira Plataforma, definindo e exemplificando seus conceitos e aplicações. Todos as 4 bases são tecnologias emergentes, porém muito presentes e penetradas no mercado atual, onde se complementam para entregar um produto mais completo de acordo com a demanda de hoje.

Vistos e entendidos os atributos de cada base dessa nova Era, no capítulo 4 discorremos sobre sua interdependência e correlação, trabalhando juntos, agregando e acelerando exponencialmente a qualidade do produto final. Também é evidenciado como esse novo paradigma é aplicado nas empresas, sejam aquelas que já estão consolidadas e necessitam se adaptar, ou aquelas que se originaram nesse novo tempo.

Com o propósito de esclarecer os pormenores da transição de períodos tecnológicos, o quinto ponto do projeto revela os movimentos e progressos, contrastando itens pertinentes como: arquitetura, segurança e dados. Ao final contemplamos um esquema exibindo nitidamente as soluções de cada época.

No Capítulo 6 apresentamos mais a fundo traços praticados em uma empresa da Terceira Plataforma, que se originou e se sustenta pela tecnologia moderna. Explicitamos as propriedades do Spotify, que é uma empresa nascida 2008, que provê música como serviço em larga escala, necessitando de todo um back-end poderoso para sobreviver.

Com esse trabalho temos o objetivo de contribuir com um melhor entendimento do que é a Terceira Plataforma Computacional e de como ela pode trazer grandes oportunidades para as empresas. Foram expostos os aspectos relevantes que devem estar presentes na Terceira Plataforma e essa exploração pode ser continuada de várias formas, como: minuciando a especificação de requisitos, pesquisando as melhores práticas para desenvolvimento, melhores práticas para migração da Segunda para Terceira Plataforma, levantando e analisando os aceleradores da Terceira Plataforma (Internet das Coisas, Robótica, Sistemas Cognitivos, etc.).
