4. Conclusão Geral

Os resultados do presente trabalho sugerem que:

- Os genótipos de S. mutans presentes na saliva apresentam habilidade de colonização das superfícies dentais, mesmo sob condições de estresse;

- Nem todos os genótipos presentes no biofilme dental são encontrados na saliva;

- Existe diversidade genotípica de S. mutans no biofilme dental;

- A diversidade genotípica do biofilme in vivo for similar ao biofilme in situ.

-Glicose+Frutose e Sacarose apresentaram genótipos diferentes daqueles presentes na água destilada e deionisada.
