De acordo com os resultados podemos concluir que:

• O cuidado destinado aos animais em desenvolvimento em ambiente de caatinga segue o padrão descrito na literatura para essa espécie em outros ambientes. No entanto chamamos a atenção para a partilha ativa, pouco descrita para Callithrix jacchus e bastante registrada no nosso estudo. Esse resultado demonstra a o quanto o comportamento dos cuidadores pode ser influenciado pelas pressões ambientais.

• A diferença do cuidado entre as fêmeas pode estar associada a experiência materna.

• O padrão comportamental dos animais em desenvolvimento foi moldado ao longo das fases. Iniciando com a exploração do ambiente, tendo como fator importante a facilitação social nas atividades realizadas pelos indivíduos mais velhos, que possibilitaram aos imaturos desenvolver-se e preparar-se para as próximas etapas da vida.

82 • A presença do gêmeo influencia a expressão dos comportamentos de exploração e brincadeira, evidenciando a importância do parceiro de atividades.

A expressão dos comportamentos pode ser influenciada tanto por fatores ambientais (sazonalidade) como pela dinâmica social do grupo.
