Ocorreram modificações significativas do Doppler da artéria oftálmica no grupo de gestantes com diabetes mellitus pré-gestacional, representadas pela elevação das velocidades sistólica e diastólica final.
O diabetes mellitus pré-gestacional é responsável por vasculopatias arteriolares difusas no sistema orbital e o Doppler da artéria oftálmica foi capaz de identificar sinais de hiperperfusão nesse território.

Estas informações estão sendo fornecidas para você participar voluntariamente do presente estudo, cujo título é: “Modificações
dopplervelocimétricas da artéria oftálmica em gestantes com diabetes pré- gestacional”. Este trabalho será realizado por Nicholas Godoy Canazza Damian e
Profª Drª Angélica Lemos Debs Diniz.
Nesta pesquisa nós estamos buscando caracterizar o padrão dopplervelocimétrico na artéria oftálmica em gestantes portadoras de Diabetes Mellitus Pré-Gestacional. Dopplervelocimetria é um exame ultra-sonográfico que avalia o fluxo sanguíneo dentro de vasos do corpo humano. Não causa dor ou lesões a você ou ao feto Este estudo irá analisar os fluxos sanguíneos (através do Doppler) de uma artéria que nutre o olho da pessoa (artéria oftálmica)
Sua participação consiste em realizar o exame de ultra-som com você deitada e com os olhos fechados, será colocado uma pequena quantidade de gel e o transdutor do aparelho de ultrassonografia em contato com a sua pálpebra. A seguir será realizado o ultrassom convencional para determinar o crescimento e bem-estar fetal.
Em nenhum momento você será identificada. Os resultados da pesquisa serão publicados e ainda sim sua identidade será preservada.
Você não terá nenhum ônus e ganho financeiro por participar desta pesquisa. É possível garantir a você que o exame de ultrassom do olho não provoca lesões ou dor em você ou no feto. A realização do estudo ajudará a verificar se existe elevação ou não de pressão na área oftalmológica da paciente com DMPG.
É livre para deixar de participar a qualquer momento sem nenhum prejuízo para você.
