Os dados de temperatura nos dois anos estudados mostram que a sexagem das tartarugas marinhas na região do litoral paraibano foi distinta devido à diferença na pluviometria entre os anos (menor em 2008 e maior em 2009), mas, quando comparados os dois anos, há uma maior tendência no nascimento de tartarugas fêmeas na Grande João Pessoa. Observou-se que a taxa do sucesso reprodutivo para a temporada de 2009 foi de 75,5% sendo maior que a verificada em 2008 que foi de 67,4%.
