2. O Fármaco parece possuir efeito, in vitro, comparável ao SNP, BAY 41-2272 e Vardenafila.

3. Não parece haver ativação direta dos canais de potássio durante o processo de relaxamento induzido por essa substância.

4. O agente possivelmente age liberando óxido nítrico.

5. O RUT-BPY-IMI parece atuar no sistema de sinalização celular NO/GMPc, ativando a enzima guanilato ciclase solúvel.

6. Não há aparente ativação dos canais de potássio dependente de ATP, durante o processo de relaxamento da musculatura lisa cavernosa.
