7.1 – A fucana extraída da alga Spatoglossum schroederii, tratada intravenosamente, foi capaz de reduzir a formação do exsudato peritoneal e inibir a migração celular para a cavidade peritoneal de camundongos induzida por zimosan, observada 6, 24 e 48 horas após o tratamento.

7.2 – No modelo murino que mimetiza a síndrome da disfunção múltipla de órgãos em humanos, a fucana de S. schroederii, embora não tenha atuado na redução da toxicidade sistêmica induzida por zimosan, foi capaz de atenuar a perda de peso, assim como a migração celular para cavidade peritoneal; levou à diminuição da concentração de IL-6 no soro e no exsudato peritoneal, bem como o dano hepático ocasionado pelo choque não séptico, através dos níveis séricos das transaminases hepáticas e análise histopatológica.

7.3 – Através do modelo de colite induzida por DSS, a fucana de S. schroederii foi capaz de atenuar a perda de peso, reduzir os níveis de IFN- e IL-17 obtidas em sobrenadante de cultura de intestino, além de reduzir o dano intestinal de camundongos submetidos a essa patologia.

7.4 – De modo geral, pode-se concluir que de acordo com os resultados apresentados, a fucana extraída da alga S. schroederii apresentou promissora atividade imunofarmacológica, demonstrando assim significativa ação protetora anti- inflamatória nos distintos modelos estudados, com perspectivas sobre sua possível ação como fármaco terapêutico desde que novos estudos revelem o entendimento do mecanismo de ação desse biopolímero sulfatado.
