Os resultados do presente estudo permitiram chegar às seguintes conclusões: O treino cognitivo das funções executivas mostrou ser uma intervenção
capaz de melhorar o desempenho cognitivo de idosos saudáveis, não só em habilidades treinadas diretamente nas sessões, mas também em outras funções, como a memória episódica. Além disso, os resultados também sugeriram que o treino cognitivo tem potencial interventivo na qualidade de sono e na sonolência excessiva diurna de idosos saudáveis.
A intervenção de psicoeducação da higiene do sono foi eficiente na melhora da qualidade do sono e diminuição da sonolência dos idosos, como também em trazer ganhos para algumas funções cognitivas, em especial a memória episódica, o planejamento e a atenção.
Não foram notadas evidências de que sessões combinando o treino cognitivo e a higiene do sono potencializem ainda mais os ganhos proporcionados por essas intervenções isoladamente.
