Os resultados deste trabalho permitem concluir que os indivíduos portadores de osteoporose na mandíbula e na maxila em comparação aos indivíduos que não possuíam a doença:
• Apresentaram menor espessura muscular para os músculos masseter direito e esquerdo e maior espessura para os músculos temporal direito e esquerdo durante a situação de repouso e apresentaram menor espessura muscular para os músculos masseter esquerdo, temporal direito e esquerdo e maior espessura para o músculo masseter direito durante a situação de apertamento dental em máxima intercuspidação habitual.
• Apresentaram significativamente menores valores de força de mordida máxima na região molar direita e esquerda.
