CONCLUSÕES

¾ Nos 40 camarões L. vannamei investigados foram detectadas por métodos histopatológicos e/ou moleculares de diagnóstico a ocorrência da IMN (55%), WSS (42,5%) e IHHN (12,5%), NHP (5%) e vibrioses (15%). Também foi observada a presença de gregarinas

Nematopsis sp. no estômago de 12 camarões (30%).

¾ Foi verificada a ocorrência de até quatro enfermidades por espécime do L. vannamei, com predominância para as duplas infecções que foram detectadas em 42,5% dos animais investigados.

¾ A infecção simultânea por IMNV e WSSV, de ocorrência ainda não descrita, foi pioneiramente detectada em 20% dos camarões L. vannamei investigados no presente estudo.

¾ A expressiva relação entre a ocorrência de gregarinas e do WSSV nos camarões em estudo sugere maiores investigações a cerca do papel das gregarinas sobre a incidência do WSSV em camarões L. vannamei ou mesmo da possibilidade destes endoparasitas funcionarem como vetores potenciais da doença.

¾ A técnica de Differential Display RT-PCR apresentou eficiência satisfatória na produção de perfis genéticos do camarão L. vannamei, mostrando também boa relação custo- benefício.

¾ Através da DDRT-PCR foi possível selecionar 7 genes de expressão diferencial relacionados à ocorrência de enfermidades provocadas pelo IMNV (842-A2R6 e 644- A3R8); WSSV+IMNV (842-A2R6, 644-A3R8 e 930-A4R11); WSSV+Gregarinas (730- A4R10 e 930-A4R11); Gregarinas (376-A2R6) e IHHNV (500-A4R12); e/ou relacionados a quantidade de agentes etiológicos detectados nos camarões investigados (882-A1R2 e 376-A2R6).

¾ Três sequências genéticas inéditas relacionadas à ocorrência de enfermidades do camarão

L. vannamei foram produzidas, sendo duas sequências (882-A1R2 e 730-A4R10) de

homologias indeterminadas e uma (842-A2R6) com 99% de similaridade nucleotídica com o gene mut-7 que codifica um tipo de RNAse envolvida no mecanismo de silenciamento pós-transcricional de genes do nematóide C. elegans.

¾ A expressão da seqüência 842-A2R6 em camarões L. vannamei apresentada no atual estudo somada a detecção da IMN em 55% dos animais investigados, sugere a indução natural do mecanismo de silenciamento pós-transcricional (RNAi) no camarão L.
