5.2 – CONSIDERAÇÕES FINAIS
A acessibilidade Web é crucial pois aproxima todo o tipo de pessoas, independentemente destas possuírem, ou não, qualquer tipo de deficiência. Este conceito deve estar presente no dia a dia de todas as pessoas, pois existe um vasto número de utilizadores que possuem uma necessidade especial. É necessário desfazermos todos os mitos e problemas que circulam sobre a acessibilidade Web e colocar todos os desafios e recursos em prática.
De acordo com Gilbertson and Machin (2012) há duas abordagens paralelas que se podem ter em conta para estudar e trabalhar o tema de acessibilidade Web. Uma delas é a abordagem funcional que incide sobre as limitações do utilizador e sobre as possíveis soluções para essas limitações. A outra é baseada nas tecnologias Web existentes e como estas podem ser utlizadas, modificadas ou criadas de maneira a diminuir ou eliminar os
61 obstáculos opostos aos utilizadores de forma a beneficiar assim o potencial associado à Web.
Posto isto, consideramos que este trabalho apesar de conter mais implicações para a teoria, também apresenta algumas para a parte prática que serão apresentadas de seguida. Tratando-se reconhecidamente os problemas relacionados com a acessibilidade Web como uma questão de direitos e igualdade inscritos na nossa lei fundamental, Constituição da República Portuguesa, importa a todos os que diretamente ou indiretamente desempenham um papel nas diversas fases de planeamento, desenvolvimento e gestão de plataformas Web, garantir a implementação de todas as teorias tidas como validas, algumas delas inscritas nesta dissertação.
Nas organizações empresariais ou do estado tem vindo a ser debatido como fator primordial a forma como os clientes/cidadãos acedem aos seus sítios Web, seja na qualidade de cliente quando se trata de sítios vocacionados para o comercio eletrónico, ou cidadão no caso em que a informação diz respeito à administração pública. Ter implicações sérias, seja de índole comercial ou do papel que o estado deve ter para com os seus cidadãos independentemente das suas limitações.
Se por um lado o papel das organizações é fundamental garantindo caminhos e objetivos conducentes à abrangência total dos seus conteúdos Web, também os profissionais responsáveis pelo planeamento, desenvolvimento e de gestão devem garantir a aplicação de todas as normas. Existindo uma série de ferramentas, abordadas por esta dissertação, que asseguram os testes necessários às boas praticas não se encontra justificação para que hoje em dia não sejam garantidas todas as formas de inclusão Web. A abordagem temática desta dissertação permitirá às diferentes organizações ter uma visão generalizada da problemática da acessibilidade e da implicação que esta pode ter na sua atividade, promovendo assim a adequação das praticas que funcionaram como que um pré-requisito para o subsequente desenvolvimento por parte dos profissionais das TIC.
O facto de ser um dos objetivos desta dissertação a sintetização dos diferentes conceitos de acessibilidade Web publicados em artigos de referência e inseridos nos quatro primeiros quartis permitirá em trabalhados/desenvolvimentos futuros uma base científica mais fundamentada.
Outra das problemáticas abordadas neste trabalho refere-se à desmistificação de mitos que por desconhecimento, informação desadequada ou insensibilidade para estas matérias ainda subsistem.
62 Cada vez mais se verifica o interesse nas diversas marcas comerciais em abranger todo os públicos. Se considerarmos as questões de acessibilidade transversais a todos os escalões etários e extratos sociais, a generalização do comércio eletrónico obrigou os profissionais de marketing a rever as formas e conteúdos a publicar na Web. Assim, esta dissertação pretende fornecer indicadores de trabalhos executados nesta área como uma compilação de conceitos sobre aquilo que deve ser feito.
