A ingestão materna de bebida alcoólica com 5% de etanol, durante a lactação,

2. A ingestão materna de bebida alcoólica com 5% de etanol, durante a lactação,

promoveu, nos RNs;

• Tendencia a maior ganho ponderal, com o uso de cerveja, pelas mães;

• Elevação do peso do rim e cérebro, pela bebida destilada, sem alterar o conteúdo de gordura da carcaça;

• Retardo no tempo de abertura dos olhos, com os dois tipos de bebidas, e atraso no tempo de aparecimento de pêlos, com a cerveja;

• Elevação do percentual de mortos / devorados, com as bebidas utilizadas, com maior gravidade para a destilada, não obstante ter sido ingerida em menor quantidade;

• Diminuição dos níveis circulantes de glicose e LDL-C, com a destilada, e aumento, com a cerveja.

Todos estes achados indicam que a ingestão de bebidas alcoólicas com baixo teor de etanol, provoca graves alterações no comportamento,nutrição e metabolismo das mães,comprometendo o desenvolvimento normal dos RNs, além de elevar sua morbi-mortalidade.

A partir do presente estudo são sugeridos algumas idéias para exeperimentos futuros:

1. Analisar neste modelo experimental os efeitos do etanol na infância, adolescencia e senilidade;

2. Observar se o etanol de bebidas alcoolicas, oferecido na deita afeta o desempenho físico de crianças, adolescentes,gestantes e lactantes;

3. Delinear o efeito do etanol enduzido por doses menores e maiores (curva dose-resposta) na lactação;

4. Investigar modificações produzidas pelo etanol nos demais nutrientes circulante e/ou teciduais;

5. Pesquisar os efeitos do etanol na lactação, infância e adolescencia sobre parâmetros imunológicos.
