Como citado anteriormente, a linha de pesquisa deste trabalho engloba uma área relativamente nova. Por isso trata-se de uma área que possui ainda muitos desafios e que carece de soluções para os mesmos. Podemos destacar então os seguintes trabalhos futuros que podem se basear neste trabalho realizado:

Criação de método para extração de hierarquias de dimensões a partir de ontologias;

Criação de método para validação de esquemas multidimensionais baseados em ontologias;

Criação de métodos para modelagem do processo de ETL a partir de ontologias;

Classificação de funções de agregação a partir de ontologias;

Construção de operações OLAP sobre ontologias baseadas em SPARQL; e Verificação de equivalência de modelos multidimensionais baseados em ontologias.
