The DECT functions of your Alcatel-Lucent system allow user mobility control via DECT cordless phones. Radio coverage of the Alcatel-Lucent system is ensured by a network of radio base stations. This DECT telephone is designed to be used with a Private Automatic Branch Exchange (PABX) without an Alcatel-Lucent cord.

According to Directive 1999/5/CE (R&TTE) published in the Official Journal of the European Community of 7 April 1999, these devices use the DECT harmonized frequency spectrum and can be used in all countries of the European Community, in Switzerland and Norway. This approved DECT telephone is intended for use with an Alcatel-Lucent wireless PABX. DECT equipment can only be used to establish connections between fixed points if these connections are temporary and the corresponding isotropically radiated power at the antenna is less than 250 mW.

The terms of access to a telepoint network of DECT equipment will be determined by contract with the operator of the authorized telepoint network in question. The electrical outlet used should be close to the charger/holder and easily accessible so that it can be used as an "on/off" device.

During the notification process, all user actions are ignored until communication with the alarm server is established.

Either the user or the alarm server can then hang up the call and the handset will return to the idle state and be available to process any subsequent user calls.

If registration is successful (subscription accepted), the phone will be ready to use and the radio coverage icon will appear. Depending on the type of system involved, one or more additional actions on the system may be required for registration. Selecting “Lock to All” allows the phone to connect automatically when it enters a system coverage zone.

If the systems programmed into the phone have common coverage zones, the phone selects the first system found.

These codes are used when a user wants to consult a voice server, access a PABX or remotely consult an answering machine. This equipment complies with the essential requirements of the R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC and with Directive 2011/65/UE (ROHS).

Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause. This device is designed and manufactured not to exceed SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) limits for radio frequency power transmission as set by the various countries concerned.

The measured SAR value is equal to 0.102 W/kg (the globally accepted maximum limit is 1.6 W/kg). This equipment has very low levels of RF energy and is considered compliant without Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) testing. The acoustic level of the signal generated by the handset ear piece is less than 130 dBspl for a transient signal (123 dBspl for Australia) and less than 118 dBspl (rms) for a continuous signal (120 dBA for . Australia).
