Installing the telephone

Pick up the device or press the ∑ key. The display will show the time elapsed since the line was connected (after 10 seconds) and the menu. Scroll through the numbers of the list with Ωπ keys to select the name number to call. Select one of the 4 types (Generic, Mobile, Home, Office) and press the [OK] key 2 times to confirm the selection.

Pick up the handset or press the ∑ key to dial the line. The number will be displayed and then switched off. When a call comes in, the mobile phone icon (d) is displayed if the call has not been answered. The name number of the caller is automatically stored in the 1st place of the "Receive" list (Call List submenu). When in the mobile mode, the user can press ∑ key to activate the loudspeaker, allowing the people near the phone to listen to the conversation. The user can then go back to handset mode by pressing ∑ key again or switch to hands-free mode by pressing and holding the ∑ key, holding down the handset and then releasing the ∑ key.

Select a list memo using the Ωπ key and press the [Display] key to display the corresponding entry. The activation code is displayed followed by the entered number, the line is activated in hands-free mode and the displayed sequence is output to the phone. The service is activated. In the "Edit name" submenu, it is possible to display and change the name of a telephone directory number. Press the [Add] key, use the Ωπ keys to select the name-number of the directory you want to add, then press [OK] to confirm. It is possible to choose the ringtone volume level between 3 different levels: minimum (1), medium (2), maximum (3). Press the Ωπ pour buttons to select the desired volume level (from 1 to 3), then press the [OK] key to confirm.

In both cases, after 10 seconds, the display will show the time elapsed since the line was connected. The phone will return to idle mode and the display will show the current time and date.

The display shows the elapsed communication time (mm:ss), then it returns to idle mode. If the line has been busy (via handset or by pressing the ∑ key), it is possible to call the very last number called as follows:.

The "Show numbers" option allows the user to display numbers associated with a name from the phone book. In the "Edit numbers" sub-menu it is possible to display and personalize a phonebook number. Erase digits to the left of the cursor via [Erase] or ∂ keys, insert the edits, then press [Save].

Select a speed dial memory key (a number from 0 to 9) using the Ωπ keys and press the [Set] key to confirm. Press the Ωπ buttons to select the new melody number (from 0 to 15), with 0 corresponding to the default melody. Press the Ωπ buttons to select the name to be added to the VIP or blacklist.

If "Call only VIP" is activated, the phone will ring for incoming calls from numbers on the VIP list. If "Blacklist" has been activated, the phone will not ring for incoming calls from numbers on the blacklist. % of free memory and the numbers of the stored items will be displayed.

When in conversation, an acoustic signal will be heard in case of a 2nd call. The 2nd incoming call number is displayed if the service is available and if the phone is set up correctly. Press the ≥ key to put the 1st call on hold and to answer the 2nd call.

Note: When receiving the 2nd call, the user can press the [Options] key to use a list of options that can simplify the automatic management of this function (see section 5.2).

Enter the day by selecting the ddd field and entering a number from 1 to 7. Enter hours and minutes as hh:mm. Select the reminder you want to deactivate/activate with the Ωπ keys and press the [Show] key. Delete the text with the [Clear] or ∂ keys, enter the new text with the alphanumeric keys and press the [OK] key to confirm.

At the programmed time of a reminder, the phone beeps and the accompanying note is displayed. If no action will be taken, the phone will beep for 1 minute, then the icon will be displayed. When the warning signal beeps, it is possible to press [Répéter] to repeat the Reminder 5 minutes later.

The phone provides a Network Services menu to use in easy mode services such as Call Forwarding, Fixed Destination Calling, Call Waiting handling and Call Back (CCBS). Some services may not be available on the phone line; please contact Belgacom to ask for more information.

The following options are available: Call to call the service number Details to display the service number Edit Name to change the service name. In idle mode, if a new message is in PhoneMail, the display will show the b icon and the number of messages to check. When all the messages have been heard, the icon and the information in standby disappear.

This option allows the user to insert a barring code to mask the number of the called user.

Activate call transfer by pressing [Options], select "Call transfer" with Ωπ keys and press [OK] to confirm. MAESTRO 2055 can send and receive SMS according to the SMS service requirements offered by Belgacom. To use the SMS service, the Maestro 2055 must be correctly configured as described in par.

Settings to assign drawer name, drawer number (from 0 to 9), PIN code to access the drawer, to activate or deactivate the Eatoni function, to deactivate Boc.
