The Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon (ICS-ULisboa) opens a call for 1 (one) research fellowship Post-Doctoral, under the project « VAX.TRUST – Addressing

vaccine hesitancy in Europe», coordinated by Doctor Ana Patrícia Hilário, from the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, funded by its own revenues.

4. Applicable legislation and regulations:

4.1. Law no. 40/2004, of 18 August, amended by Decree-Law no. 202/2012, of 27 August, by Decree-Law no. 233/2012, of 29 October, by Law no. 12/2013, of 29 January, by Decree-Law no. 89/2013, of 9 July, and by Decree-Law no. 123/2019, of 28 August (Research Grant Holder Statute).

4.2. Regulations of the University of Lisbon Research Grant Regulations, approved by Dispatch no. 6238/2020 published in Diário da República, 2.ª série, n.º 113, de 12 de Junho and, alternatively, the Research Grant Regulations of the Foundation for Science and

Technology, I.P. (FCT, I.P.), Regulation no. 950/2019, Diário da República, 2ª série, n.º 241, de 16 de Dezembro.

5. Workplace: Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon.

6. Scientific Orientation: Doctor Ana Patrícia Hilário, responsible for the project under the scope of the present tender.

7. Duration of the grant: The grant will last 12 months, possibly renewable until the end of the project.

8. Amount of monthly maintenance allowance and Social Security:

8.1. The monthly maintenance subsidy is €1,646.00 (one thousand six hundred and forty-six euros), paid monthly by bank transfer.

8.2 The grant holder to be hired may exercise his/her right to social security by joining the voluntary social security scheme, under the terms foreseen in the Research Grant Holder Statute, with ICS-ULisboa assuming the charges resulting from the contributions foreseen in that Statute.

Eligibility criteria

13.1 Applications should be sent by e-mail, to the address recrutamentos@ics.ulisboa.pt, with the reference "Concurso de Bolsas de Investigação n.º 25/2021"), under penalty of not being considered for the competition.

13.2 The applications shall be accompanied, under penalty of exclusion, with the following documents, no document, which should be submitted at the time of application, may be presented after the deadline for its presentation:

(a) Personal Data Form and Declaration of Consent for Communication of the Results via e- mail (see attached form);

b) Detailed and updated Curriculum Vitae;

c) Motivation Letter justifying the interest in the research project's theme and the competencies with which you think you can contribute to the project;

d) Document(s) proving that the candidate fulfils the required conditions for the type of grant, namely qualification certificate(s) of the required academic degree(s), with final average, or proof that he/she has already applied for the respective certificate(s);

e) If the academic degree of Doctor, required in the present Announcement as an admission requirement, was obtained abroad, you must submit one of the following documents

- Document proving the granting, by a Portuguese Institution, of the recognition or equivalence or registration of the academic degree; or

- Document proving that you have already applied for the recognition of the degree, which application shall be submitted until the deadline for the reception of candidatures, inclusive;

f) The presentation of the proof of having obtained the academic degree recognition or equivalence or the academic degree registration is a mandatory condition for signing the contract;

g) For academic degrees obtained in foreign countries, which have not yet obtained either the recognition or the equivalence or the registration of the degree, the recognition of the same is required, under the terms foreseen in Decree-Law no. 66/2018, of 16 August, combined with Ministerial Order no. 33/2019, of 25 January.

Selection process

9.1 The applicable selection methods will be:

a) curricular evaluation;

project;

c) selection interview.

9.2 The selection interview will be held for the three candidates with the best marks in the curricular evaluation, with a mark equal to or higher than 4,5 points.

9.3 The selection of the candidates will be made according to the terms of reference expressed in No. 2 of this announcement, considering

a) Curriculum evaluation, in view of the project objectives and the specific nature of the research work to be developed, valued from 1 to 10 points (50%);

b) Proven experience, considering the specific tasks to be performed in the project, valued at 1 to 10 points (20%);

c) Letter of Motivation, referred to in 13.2, paragraph c), valued at 1 to 10 points (10%);

d) Other factors considered relevant, namely publications considered relevant in the context of the project, valued at 1 to 10 points (10%);

e) Selection interview to evaluate professional and behavioural competences, valued at 1 to 10 points (10%).

10. Composition of the Selection Board: Doctor Ana Patrícia Hilário (President), Doctor Pedro Alcântara da Silva (1st Effective Member, who will replace the President in her absences and impediments), Doctor Ana Sofia Ribeiro (2nd Effective Member), Doctor Ana Delicado (1st Substitute Member) and Doctor Ana Nunes de Almeida (2nd Substitute Member).

Skills/Qualifications

Under the coordination of the project PI, the grant holder will carry out the following duties: a) collection of qualitative data; b) processing and analysis of qualitative and quantitative data; c) participation in dissemination activities of the project; d) participation in national and

international meetings; e) co-authorship of reports, scientific articles or other outputs of the project in English and Portuguese.

Specific Requirements

2.1. Candidates should possess as mandatory requirements:

PhD in Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Human Geography or other fields of Social Sciences, obtained less than three years ago. The academic degree required in this Call for Applications as an admission requirement cannot have been obtained at the Institute of Social Sciences of the University of Lisbon, in accordance with the provisions of paragraph b) of number 3 of article 7 of the Regulations for Research Grants of the University of Lisbon, and in case it was obtained abroad, the requirements mentioned in item 13 of this Call for

Applications concerning the certificates of qualifications should be taken into consideration.

2.2. Candidates should have the following preferential requirements:

a) Written and spoken command of the English and Portuguese languages;

b) Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies

c) Experience in processing and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data;

d) Experience in national and/or international research projects;

e) Interest in the field of health and/or science studies.
