T h e results o b t a i n e d are g i v e n in the T a b l e I, and s h o w us t h a t w e c a n n o t use as wilting p o i n t t w i c e t h e v a l u e o f t h e h y g r o s c o p i c i t y as g i v e n b y C a m a r g o and Vageler for the soils o f t h e State o f S ã o P a u l o .
