Estágio: Treino de planeamento da intervenção social. A carga horária total do semestre é
de 240h, distribuídas por 10h semanais
Seminário: reuniões semanais de 90m (em contexto de sala de aula), organizadas da
seguinte forma:
▪ Grupos heterogéneos com a presença de diferentes campos profissionais; ▪ Coresponsabilização professor/aluno;
▪ Combinação entre exposições orais, trabalhos escritos e métodos ativos; ▪ Trabalho de pesquisa e produção dos alunos;
▪ Participação obrigatória;

The main feature of training in social work is the teaching method, in which the practice is closely linked to theoretical knowledge, seeking to develop the professional expertise in students in three key areas, that are inter - connected: theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and technical skills and professional attitudes.
Placement practice: Social intervention planning training. The total workload of the semester is 240h, distributed by 10h weekly
Seminary: weekly meetings, in a classroom context – 90m and structure - around three key thematic units: 1) Issues of Intervention and Social Policy, 2) intervention methodologies, integrating models, methods, tools and action procedures, 3) To Be a Social Worker: principles, values and practices. The sessions are organized as follows:
▪ participating in heterogeneous groups, integrating different professional fields
▪ Investment in self - learning and shared learning
▪ Co - accountability among faculty and students, to revitalize the sessions, through active
methods of teaching - learning
▪ Training students' achievement in research, production of documents and oral
exposition
▪ Participation is mandatory
Individual Pedagogical Supervision: fortnightly meetings lasting between 20m to examine the specific experiences of each student, pondering on professional attitudes, ethical dilemmas associated with practice as well as the development of their professional identity through:
▪ theoretical approach - methodological practice in the institutional context, their
dynamics and intervention processes
▪ Reflection on professional attitudes aiming at self - understanding of professional
behavior and the consequences of the intervention process
▪ Co-operation in programming, implementation and evaluation of actions
Evaluation: The evaluation of this course theoretical and practical, is continuous and covers three semesters, and the final classification obtained is valid for the global path, part of the Seminary and Placement Practice.
Thus, the evaluation of the first semester includes the following assessment tools:
▪ Project – 30%
▪ Report -25%
▪ Seminary (presence, punctuality, participation) – 10%
▪ Individual Supervision (presence, participation, self - rated) -15%
Reaching grade below 10 points in practice placement and in Final Work, implies the failure of the discipline of Seminar for Social work placement practice and the consequent re-enrollment in the next school year.
