Learning outcomes of the curricular
unit Students are expected to acquire a methodology to interpret facts, processes and structures constituting
contemporary international relations. Students will be stimulated to enhance reflexive skills in order to produce sustained claims about everyday international relations through a sociological-historical analysis of the international system, political theory and current affairs. A special focus will be put on the use of audiovisual methods allowing to identify and characterize actors and structures, as well as the more conjunctural processes of interaction. Students are expected to acquire communicative skills in order to be able to problematise and debate the main topics in the international agenda.

Teaching and Assesment
Methodologies Teaching methodology:
The teaching methodology is structured around two vectors, one theoretical, the other more practical. Due to structural changes in the semester, as demanded by the pandemic, face-to-face classes will be essentially explanatory in the way of a reflection about the seven questions composing the syllabus. The syllabus has been organized around seven essential questions in IR, to be approached in each of the seven weeks of the semester.
The weekly online class of two hours will work as a tutoring space meant to answer students questions, promote debates, watch videos, receive people who will present practical and methodological questions, and practice in-depth analyses of contemporary and agenda issues. To this end, different online platforms will be used.
Evaluation methodology:
Final assessment (AF): written exam (100%).
