Edgartown School After School Clubs!
Here is the Fall 2017 list of non-athletic After
School Clubs being offered by the Edgartown
School.
**Clubs will run from 2:45 – 4pm with a light snack provided (except
where noted).
**Students must be picked up at 4pm in the lobby.
**Forms due back by Wednesday, September 20
th. An After
School Activity Permission Slip must be signed to participate in any
club.
**Club sign up is first come, first served.
**Any student walking to The Boys and Girls Club MUST have a note
from Parents!

Gardening with Melinda
Join Melinda, our own Edgartown School Gardener Extraordinaire, in helping to harvest and maintain our amazing school garden this fall!
Classes will meet on Thursdays: 9/28; 10/5; 10/12; 10/19; 11/2 Grades K-5 Maximum 15 Students
***Any students in Gr 6-8 who need Community Service hours and would like to help with this club may see Melinda or Mrs. Fligor to get approved.
Lego Club
Join your fellow budding builders as we build and share Lego creations. The goal of the club is to work both as an individual and as a team to develop projects, be creative, be imaginative and have fun!
Taught by Tamara Morillo and Lyuba Avramova
Classes will be on Thursdays: 9/28; 10/5; 10/12; 10/19; 11/2 Grades K-1 Maximum 12 students
Felix Neck
In this club, children will explore different island habitats and wildlife. Hands-on learning with live animals each week will be the focus!

Art & Crafts
Join Ms. Tamara and Ms. Sykes for different art activities each week and create projects for yourself, family and friends!

Yoda’s Yoga with Mr. Pease and his helpers!
Join Mr. Pease in a relaxing Yoga class that will involve breathing, relaxation methods, stretching, and continuing the work that that students have been learning in school.

Code Club with Ms. Cunningham
ALL CODERS OF ALL LEVELS are welcome! Programs will be available for newbies, intermediate coders, and those who are seeking a challenge.
Class will meet on Mondays: 9/25; 10/2; 10/16; 10/23 Grades 7-8 No class limit. Come one, come all!
Zumba with Ms. McCoy
Ms. McCoy is very excited to share an aerobic fitness program featuring movements inspired by various styles of Latin American dance with you. Come move your body, dance and laugh while you do it!

Reading Club – Help Harvey Turn the Page!
Join our own school librarian Mrs. Cole in an exciting reading challenge! Students will read books to help libraries and schools in Houston. For every book each student reads, a book will be donated to Houston.
Classes will meet on Tuesdays: 9/26; 10/3; 10/10; 10/17; 10/31 Grades 1-2 Maximum 10 students
Floor Hockey with Mr. Jacob
Come and learn how to play floor hockey with Mr. Jacob and his coaches. There will be instruction on techniques and how to play the game, as well as learning the importance of teamwork!

**As atividades dos clubes serão realizadas das 14h45 às 16h c/ o
fornecimento de um pequeno lanche (exceto quando anunciado).
**Os alunos devem ser apanhados às 16h no lobby.
**Os formulários devem ser entregues até quarta-feira, 20 de
setembro. O formulário de permissão p/ atividades após-aula deve ser
assinado para que o aluno possa participar.

TODOS OS CODIFICADORES DE TODOS OS NÍVEIS são bem-vindos! Os programas estarão disponíveis para codificadores novatos, intermediários e para aqueles que buscam um desafio.

A Sra. McCoy está bastante empolgada p/ compartilhar um programa de aeróbica apresentando movimentos inspirados em vários estilos de dança da América Latina com vocês. Mova-se com o seu corpo enquanto dança e se diverte!

Clube de leitura – Ajude Harvey através da leitura!
Junte-se à nossa bibliotecária, Sra. Cole, num desafio de leitura empolgante! Os alunos lerão livros para ajudar as bibliotecas e escolas em Houston. Para cada livro que o aluno ler, um livro será doado à Houston.

Hóquei de Piso c/ o Sr. Jacob
Compareça e aprenda a jogar hóquei de piso com o Sr. Jacob e seus treinadores. Haverá instrução sobre as técnicas e como participar do jogo, além de aprender a importância do trabalho de equipe!
